About Me
Allison Lozes, B.S., M.Ed., CBA, BCBA
I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA) with over 15 years of experience working with children and families. I am the sole clinician and owner of Connect Behaviour Consulting.
Growing up, I was chatty, passionate, fiercely independent, and often misunderstood. Despite their best efforts, my parents were frequently frustrated and confused. The doctors of the 90s weren't much help either… as it turns out, I didn't quite fit the diagnostic criteria written almost exclusively for boys. Receiving an ADHD diagnosis a few years ago made a lot of things click. Naming my own challenges has deepened my self-understanding and my capacity to find my own way of doing things. Now, as someone who professionally supports frustrated parents, I feel I can genuinely hold both perspectives — that of the child who can't quite explain themselves, and of the adults who love them and don’t know where to go next.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2013, I spent a few years travelling and working with children and families around the world, exploring different cultures and family systems. Once back home, I worked in a mental health setting supporting youth in rural Louisiana. Shortly after, I discovered ABA and was genuinely blown away by the efficacy of behaviour science.

In 2017, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a master's degree in Special Education, concentrating in Autism and Developmental Disabilities. During my fieldwork at a local clinic in Austin, I discovered a passion for helping children build friendships and facilitating group therapy programs. I became a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in 2018.
Since relocating to Australia in late 2018, I have worked in clinical settings alongside skilled behaviour analysts and speech pathologists whose collaborative approaches have shaped my own practice significantly. I have also had the pleasure of teaching in the Applied Behaviour Analysis Graduate Program at Griffith University, instructing clinicians and students from across Australia and New Zealand.
I founded Connect Behaviour Consulting in late 2022 - with the hope of guiding families to set and achieve their own goals and supporting interdisciplinary teams to work collaboratively in the best interest of the people we serve. For more information about my clinical approach, please click here.
In my free time, with my husband Tim, you'll find us spending time on outdoor adventures, connecting with friends, working on a DIY project, or training our rescue dog, Rosie.
